The trio is soon pursued by a clandestine government agency called Project Moon Dust, led by the ruthless Henry Burke, who wants to capture the children and harness their powers for his own ends. Adding to the danger is a relentless alien assassin known as "The Siphon," sent by the children's own government to stop them. With the help of a discredited astrophysicist, Dr. Alex Friedman (Carla Gugino), Jack must race against time to get the kids to their hidden spaceship at a secret government base known as Witch Mountain, so they can return home and prevent an interplanetary invasion.
