(1975) – A tragic, beautiful story of drug addiction.

Un capolavoro assoluto. Con brani come la title-track e Sara , l'album fonde perfettamente la vena melodica con l'impegno sociale e politico, diventando un inno per i giovani di quegli anni.

Venditti’s discography begins in the fervent climate of Rome’s Piazza del Popolo school, alongside Francesco De Gregori. His debut, (1972, with De Gregori), is a raw, folk-rock artifact. However, it is L’orso bruno (1973) that marks his true solo debut. Songs like “Sora Rosa” showcase a gritty, narrative style unheard in Italian pop.

The late 1980s and early 1990s are often referred to as the "Golden Years" of Venditti's career. His album "Centocelle" (1986), named after a Roman suburb, was a critical and commercial success, featuring hits like "Per te ci sarò" (I'll Be There for You). This was followed by "Cuore" (Heart) in 1987, which included the iconic song "Cuore," a love letter to his daughter.

The album "Mercoledì" (Wednesday) in 1982, marked a new direction in Venditti's music, with a more rock-influenced sound. The title track, "Mercoledì," became an anthem for the Italian youth, and the album went on to become one of the best-selling albums of the year.
