The software communicates directly with the CSIC (Cartridge Smart Ink Chip) inside Epson cartridges. This allows it to read true ink levels, reset chip counters, and even “freeze” the ink levels so the printer never thinks a cartridge is empty.
: Resetting the protection counter does not disappear the physical waste ink accumulation.
