The award-winning Nemesis System received crucial fixes that enhanced the logic of the Orc social hierarchy. On higher difficulty levels, killing Warchiefs would sometimes cause their replacements to appear too aggressively, making fortress domination frustratingly difficult. This was adjusted so that power vacuums are filled quickly, but not instantly, aligning with the intended design. Other fixes included spiders no longer being able to instantly kill Captains (putting them in bleedout state instead) and resolving a rare bug where completing a Shadow Wars defense could result in an infinite loading screen.
