Long before they were yelling "Yas Queen!" on national television, Glazer and Jacobson were just two broke performers in New York City. They met in 2006 through the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) improv troupe, where they bonded instantly over their shared Jewish heritage, suburban backgrounds, and an unshakeable drive to create art. While other shows about women in NYC focused on glamour and heartbreak, Glazer and Jacobson wanted to focus on what life was really like: struggling to "make it," dealing with bed bugs, and navigating the mundane absurdities of being broke.
