: Near the charging connector, you will likely find two main power MOSFETs (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors) labeled PQxxx in the schematic. These transistors act as gatekeepers for the incoming power. With the charger unplugged, use the diode mode on your multimeter to check for a short circuit on these components. A common way to test is to check between their drain (D) and source (S) pins. A good MOSFET will not show a short.
