Beyond SPM, students enter a one-year pre-university program (STPM, equivalent to "A-Levels"), a matriculation program, or private foundation courses.

Scouts ( Pengakap ), Red Crescent Society ( BSMM ), St. John Ambulance, or the School Cadet Corps ( Kadet Remaja Sekolah ). Marching drills and camping trips are central to these groups.
