After escaping the Maze, Thomas and his fellow Gladers—including the resourceful Newt () and the loyal Minho ( Ki Hong Lee )—find themselves in a desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland called the Scorch. Hunted by WCKD and forced to survive against infected humans known as Cranks, they must band together to uncover the truth about the world's downfall and WCKD's true intentions.
