The VPN Profile Editor is a specialized tool designed to create and edit the XML configuration files ( .xml ) that define AnyConnect behavior. Instead of manually editing lines of code, the editor provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to configure settings such as: Primary and backup gateway addresses.

For traditional ASA appliances, log in to ASDM and navigate to Configuration > Remote Access VPN > Network (Client) Access > Advanced > AnyConnect Client Profile . Clicking "Add" or "Edit" launches an integrated version of the Profile Editor.
